GRAPEVINE, Texas (August 1, 2024) – As a continued commitment to its dealers, customers, and local communities, Kubota Tractor Corporation announced 20 grant recipients in its fourth annual Kubota Hometown Proud® grant program aimed at providing support across the country for local nonprofit organizations and their unique initiatives. This year, the company is proud to announce that the project “New Heart: Feeding Those in Need,” nominated by Fed by Faith and supported by local Kubota dealer Coleman Tractor, is one of those winners. Each of the 20 hometown projects now goes up for a public vote,* and the project with the most votes in each district will turn its $10,000 grant into a $50,000 grant.
Fed by Faith addresses food insecurity by growing and distributing farm-fresh food to disadvantaged individuals in Tennessee, addressing the distressing reality that one in five children suffer from hunger, according to the organization. With the support of Kubota’s grant, the organization will upgrade the farm’s electrical infrastructure, which is crucial for efficiency and stability of the existing operations and will allow opportunity for expansion. The organization has grown and given 25,000 pounds of food and counting.
With the $10,000 Kubota grant, Fed by Faith will begin to upgrade from 100 amps to 200 amps of electricity, which will accommodate their growing needs. With the $50,000 grant, they will be able to complete their electrical project, including the building of a cool room, installing high tunnel fans, adding additional outlets, updating the well pump, and more.
Vote Daily for More Chances to WIN
From now until August 14, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. CT, the public is encouraged to visit KubotaHometownProud.com and rally for their hometown project by casting a vote for one of the 20 community projects.
